DAVID T. WILSON, 65, of JACKSON, died Sunday, Jan. 14, at home. Mr. Wilson was born in Orange and moved to Jackson 35 years ago. Mr. Wilson was a loving and honest husband, father, grandfather and friend. Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran, serving with the 63rd Army Band, and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant after seven years of service. Mr. Wilson was associated with many organizations and was a proud supporter of the Humane Society, The National Wildlife Organization and Carnegie Hall.
Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his parents, Edwin T. and Josie Wilson; and his wife, Neddra A. Wilson, in 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Wilson-Cerrato of Concord, N.H.; his son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Robyn Wilson of Beachwood; his grandchildren, Aaron and Hailey; his sister-in-law, Pam McKay; and his great-aunt, Beck Tate.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. A funeral gathering will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. His funeral ceremony will follow in the chapel of Ocean County Memorial Park, Silverton Road, Toms River.
