                              Crude                    __________
Comments: This is a great two-sided satirical piece. The bust of JFK on the obverse is masterfully altered to a caricature of Nixon. "In God" is removed. The reverse is totally altered, to a hand with middle finger raised, with the incuse legend "Let Me Make This Perfectly Clear" around. The carvings are superb and the fields are perfectly dressed to match the original fields. A modern masterpiece.

                              Crude                    __________
Comments: Not a trace of the original design is left on obverse or reverse except "LIBERTY 1964". A very creative cartoon caracature of Richard Nixon. On the reverse is denial phrase he said during Watergate and a fist with the middle finger raised. Probably done circa 1973. As perfectly done as if it was a pattern of an unadopted design.

Comments: This is a companion piece to the two-sided Nixon carving done by the same person. This is a one-sided alteration, with the bust of JGK changed to Spiro Agnew. There are many thin minor fine scratches on the obverse.

Comments: Very well done caracture of Spiro Agnew - Nixon's VP who left office prematurely and amid scandal. The ear, cheek and neck are all that remain of the original design except lettering and date. Very artistic.

Comments: An incredible carving by a very talented artist of Ronald Reagan on a 90% silver 1964-D 50¢. The only feature from the original JFK coin still remaining is the ear - everything else, including the wrinkles, hair strands, jowels, etc. has been expertly carved in detail. Date, Liberty and field around the past president is still intact. A great companion piece to the other three in this sale.

Comments: Another in the series of presidents expertly carved on 1964 half dollars by an unknown artist. Superbly dressed field. This depiction of Reagan is more realisticly portrayed than the others, which are caricatures.

Comments: Another very detailed caricature of former President George Bush, with a Pinnochio-like nose and the words "READ MY NOSE" carved in under the chin. By the same artist who did the Nixon, Agnew, Reagan pieces, all superbly carved. Combined with the other 3, these would make a great exhibit! This piece has seen a bit of wear since being carved. Where's Bill Clinton?

Comments: A great caricature of ex-president Bush, with superbly dressed field. Question remains - who made these great pieces, and did the artist carve more than one specimen of each president?
